Autorka podejmuje temat uporczywego nękania (stalkingu) oraz innych form prześladowania emocjonalnego (mobbingu, bullyingu i molestowania seksualnego). Prezentuje wyniki ogólnopolskich, reprezentatywnych badań aktowych dotyczących stalkingu. Przedstawia usystematyzowane definicje psychologiczne i kryminologiczne zjawisk zaliczanych do przemocy emocjonalnej, a ponadto także ich historię i uwarunkowania kulturowe oraz informacje o skali występowania w Polsce i na świecie. Szczegółowo analizuje przepisy państw Unii Europejskiej kryminalizujące stalking oraz polskie przepisy karne i wykroczeniowe dotyczące uporczywego nękania, a także regulacje dotyczące mobbingu, molestowania seksualnego i bullyingu. Opisuje sylwetki sprawcy i ofiary przemocy emocjonalnej, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem typologii sprawców i ofiar stalkingu. Odnosi się do reakcji (formalnej i nieformalnej) na stalking i inne czyny o charakterze przemocy emocjonalnej. ****** Stalking and other types of emotional violence: A criminological study The author addresses the topic of stalking and other forms emotional harassment (mobbing, bullying and sexual abuse). She presents the results of Polish research on stalking court records, systematized psychological and criminological definitions of phenomena classed as emotional violence, their history and cultural determinants, as well as information on the scale of occurrence of these phenomena in Poland and in other parts of the world. The author analyses regulations of EU countries criminalizing stalking and Polish criminal and misdemeanour laws concerned with stalking, as well as regulations concerned with mobbing, sexual harassment and bullying. She describes the profiles of perpetrators and victims of emotional violence, in particular taking into consideration the typology of stalking perpetrators and victims.
